How Do You Say Abbot Kinney in French?

You don’t need to be wearing a beret, but if you did you’d  fit right in at Lilly’s French Café in the heart of the  Abbot Kinney dining district. If rustic French bistro fare  tempts your palate, this could be your new favorite place.  Deceptively larger than it looks from its charming front  entrance and warm wood-toned bar, Lilly’s boasts a  lively dining room with a modern art display and a  quieter rear candlelit patio, sure to be a popular Venice  summer hangout. The menu always features a soup du jour, a salade de maison, French cheese plates and delectable main courses like grilled salmon, roasted free range chicken, grilled Ahi tuna and naturellement, steak frites.

And now there is yet another reason to become a regular. Lilly’s just instituted a prixe fixe brunch which includes a soup, salad and your choice of entrée like an omelette, crepes or a croque madame for an extremely wallet-friendly $12. (Other items are available at regular entrée prices, none of which exceed $11.)

For happy hour, the restaurant and bar offer food and drink specials between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

If you close your eyes, you might even imagine you’re in Aix-en-Provence, rather than on Abbot Kinney.
