Picture yourself at the 97th Academy Awards inside the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood. The ceremonies, which will be hosted by Conan O’Brien and broadcast live on ABC and streaming on Hulu, usually run for more than three hours.
The show starts at 4 p.m. PT (7 p.m. ET), so when it’s over and the winner of Best Picture is announced, it’s dinner time and guests head upstairs to the Ray Dolby Ballroom for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences official post-Oscars celebration.
It’s the 66th year the soirée has been held and the 31st year that Wolfgang Puck catering serves up a menu created by Wolfgang Puck and Eric Klein.
It looks to be an unforgettable culinary experience starting with the famous smoked salmon Oscar statuettes topped with caviar on a crispy cracker. Has Oscar ever tasted as delicious as these mini versions of one of Chef Puck’s most famous pizzas?
We can personally attest that these are absolutely addictive delicacies and one must be careful not to fill up on them before the rest of the scrumptious feast.
Here’s some of what else is being served up in the unforgettable spread: truffle chicken pot pie, red beet pillows with citrus and goat cheese, popcorn shrimp with chili garlic crunch, charred shishito peppers, crispy falafel salad and even a taste of London station with classic beef Wellington and fish and chips.
And of course, dessert is also stellar from the Wolfgang Puck catering pastry chefs Kamel Guechida and Garry Larduinat. They are preparing piña colada Oscar silhouette éclairs, vanilla chai tiramisu verrine, peach and elderflower marbled macarons, tropical Kit Kat bars and warm profiteroles.

There’s no better way to celebrate the evening than with champagne and for the first year, Champagne Lallier, founded in 1906, will be the exclusive champagne featured at the Governors Ball and other Oscars-related events.

Another beverage first: Dassai sake, from the Yamaguchi region of Japan, will serve up premium cold sake in beautiful black lacquer square cups.
Tequila Don Julio returns with acclaimed mixologist Charles Joly – joined in partnership with 2024 World’s Best Bar Handshake Speakeasy from Mexico City – to raise a glass with signature cocktails, including “The Class Act” with Tequila Don Julio 1942, “The Clear Winner” with Tequila Don Julio Reposado and “The Thespian,” for those who don’t drink alcoholic beverages.
For a third consecutive year, Clarendelle & Domaine Clarence Dillon wines will be the exclusive red and white wines poured at the Governors Ball and other Oscars-related events.
And to all that we say cheers to all the nominees of the Academy Awards.
