DPA’s Luxe Gift Suite Lures Dozens of Oscar Nominees

Academy Award nominees came out in force for a two-day event that delivered a memorable awards season capper, the DPA Luxe Gift Suite 2023, held at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel on the Friday and Saturday of Oscar weekend.

DPA CEO Nathalie Dubois has been hosting these exclusive events for nearly 20 years, bringing her expertise in discovering international and regional brands to an invited guest list of Oscar nominees, celebrities and other VIPs.

Despite the rainy and chilly weather, the list of nominees attending was much longer than the average acceptance speech.

Among those up for an Oscar spotted making the rounds in the Brentwood rooms at the hotel were Joel Harlow, Jonathan Redmond, Joshua Seffel, Julian Howarth, Justin Marks, Kate Hallett, Mark Weingarten, Matt Villa, Melanie Coombs, Melanie Miller, Michael Keller, Rick Paley, Phin Glynn, Richard Baneham, Ross White, Sara Dosa, Sarah Ann Masse, Shane Boris, Sheila McCarthy, Skye Alexis, Stacey Hummel, Tom Berkley, Wayne Pashley and Simon Lereng Wilmont.

More than 30 brands were featured at the event including two from Japan, Magician Facialist and Sakai Clinic 62. Facialist Saori Yoshimura provided on-site firming and tightening facials to guests, using her magic touch not to mess up their makeup.

Sakai Clinic 62 specializes in regenerative medicine based on bone marrow and stem cells and has come up with safe and effective eyedrops developed at its clinic by medical doctors.

Other health and beauty products showcased were SkinMedica, Dion Michaels skincare, Ere Perez, Ele Kauai and American Fitness, the company run by NFL Super Bowl champ Kyle Arrington.

Parisian Petrusse showed its new collection of super chic scarves and wraps all designed in its Bordeaux Castle, Swiss DeMarquet debuted the newest of its exquisite clutches, Kenyan The Label Saba had a wide range of colorful wristlets and travelling bags and Spanish Coolook displayed pieces of its gorgeous custom jewelry.

Also featured were eco-friendly and luxury scented laundry sheets by Scent Si Bon and its new line of cleaning products, a perfume bar by Escentuelle and Lane1and Gernie, a new brand of sneakers designed by Amira Dior, a 14-year-old Brooklyn native.

Other brands participating were Topochico, Carvery Kitchen, Fallen Stars, Truth in Hand, LA Grind coffee, Something Major, Steven Joseph, Virginia Fox, Black Chateau Enterprises, Geek Eyewear, Calm Moment, Hypnomagnetism by Dr Richard Garnier, Historically Modern Designs, Kings of Prohibition by Calabria Family Wines, La Gardeenia, and Mezcal Campante.

Several guests were also gifted trips to Le Taha’a by Pearl Resorts in French Polynesia,  The Greenhouse in Iceland, or Pimalai Resort and Spa in Thailand.

DPA also promoted the Wolf Connection, a wolf rescue and human empowerment organization.
