Premium Beauty Line Achi Launches in West Hollywood
Pale pink and white roses adorned West Hollywood’s Doheny Room for the launch of products from Valerie Anderson’s new premium beauty line, achi, in a festive cocktail event hosted by makeup and beauty expert Kandee Johnson.
Guests were treated to manicures with the new strawberry-scented, non-formaldehyde gel nail polishes that Anderson developed after identifying a niche in the marketplace for high-end gel polishes. (Bottles of achi polish each retail for $49.)
As the owner of nail salons in Manhattan Beach, California, Anderson was looking for natural and cruelty-free products. After months of development, formulated by a chemist in Japan, achi is ready for its close-up.
There are 45 colors in the collection and nail enthusiasts will be happy with the range of nude polishes that the brand offers. The line also includes top and base coats that are known for no-peel and no-lift adhesiveness.
Anderson says she’s very proud of the products, and the beautiful packaging.
“I love everything about it, the colors–especially the rose gold, the nude colors. If you see the packaging, it’s all beige, pink and rose gold and very feminine,” she says.
Also in the achi line, a beauty tool that’s essential for almost everyone. It’s a design modeled on a sexy pair of stilettos, and reminiscent of the metallic top of the nail polishes.
“We just came out with the rose gold tweezers and having a presence of a luxury feel to the beauty and nail industry,” Anderson says.
The elegant packaging of achi products was inspired by Anderson’s love of owls, which was heightened after visiting the famous Owl Cafe in Japan. She walked away knowing that the owl was going to be the ultimate symbol for her unique product, as owls represent “wisdom and femininity, along with magic and mystery,” Anderson says.
Guests at the launch event were gifted with the tweezers as well a beautiful bottle of nude nail polish.
