The first-ever American edition of the My Face My Body Awards drew a glamorous black-tie crowd to the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills for a gala dinner and ceremonies complete with Cirque du Soleil-like entertainment on November 5.
The awards are voted on by consumers and judged by industry leaders within the medical aesthetics and beauty industries, with the goal of recognizing brands for their product innovation and for outstanding service they provide to their clients.
You could consider them the Oscars of aesthetics.
Hosting duties were in the able hands of international television presenter, aesthetic expert and awards founder Stephen Handisides.
Beverly Hills’ own Dr. Zein Obagi, founder and medical director of ZO Skin Health, received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The crowd was a mix of industry pros and celebs, including Hakeem Kae-Kazim (Black Sails), Alice Amter (The Big Bang Theory), Tony Denison (Major Crimes), Meagan Rath (New Girl), Keesha Sharp (Lethal Weapon), Chloe Hurst, Courtney Hope (Allegiant), Rebecca Marshall (Good Witch), Rose Liston (The Magicians), Emmanuelle Vaugier (Lost Girl), Katherine Kelly Lang (The Bold & The Beautiful), Nicole Cummins (Masters of Sex), Lotte Verbeek (Outlander), Anastasia Baranova (Z-Nation), Desiree Hall (Teen Wolf) and Jill Wagner (Wipe Out).
The evening benefited Face Forward, whose mission is to provide emotional support and reconstructive surgery for those who have been victims of domestic violence, human trafficking and other acts of crime.
