Summer fun is just around the corner, and there was no better way to get in the swim of things than with a special preview put on by the synchronized swimming group, the Aqualillies and Tarte cosmetics.
The Aqualillies took to the pool to promote the new limited edition summer line of waterproof makeup, which includes a gorgeous eye and cheek palette, mascara, eyeliner and lipstick, all formulated with Amazonian clay.
The lunchtime event took place at the Annenberg Beach House on Pacific Coast Hwy., Santa Monica, California. Guests were treated not only to the performance, but to delicious hors d’oeuvres and fresh squeezed juices and summer, tales, for those who wanted to imbibe.
Coastal clouds made things a bit chilly– but we can report that the Summer 2013 limited edition Tarte collection is hot.
The gorgeous palette – unlike most – is round and features shimmering powder, bronzer, blush and eyeshadows in a mirrored compact decorated with a striking turquoise coral and gold design which evokes the spirit of summer. The entire collection comes in this beautiful packaging.
The Glamazon Pure Performance 12-hour lipstick in the shade Timeless is a flattering coral and was worn by all of the swimmers, as was the waterproof liner, which comes in black and in a shimmering turquoise color called Splash.
The line, including Tarte’s popular Lights, Camera, Splashes 4-in-1 waterproof mascara and Amazonian clay finishing powder ranges from $19-$38 and is available at Sephora.
Tarte also showcased other new products from its summer collection, including a new self-tanner called Brazilliance, Park Avenue Princess Bronze & Glow Matte Bronzer and Cheek Tint and Maracuja Rainforest Glow Matte Waterproof Body Perfector.
To get facial skin in shape for summer, there’s its new Amazonian Clay double- detox facial system, kit made up of six clay mask treatments to be used once each week. We’ve already gotten great results from using just one.
