Suites, Swag and Stars–All Part of Emmy Awards Show Fun

No award season would be complete without a slew of suites leading up to the big night when the trophies were handed out. Until then, nominees, presenters and assorted celebs and VIPs had their hands filled with an array of products like body and skin care, electronics, lingerie, footwear, jewelry, swimwear, clothing and premium liquor.

 

Emmy gifting events started off early in the week the Endless Summer Primetime Emmy Suite at the restaurant Gonpachi of Beverly Hills, where about one hundred guests—including Cheryl Hines, Joe Mantegna, Judd Nelson, Dot-Marie Jones, William Shatner, Eric Robert, Randee Heller and Rex Lee—got gifted, but also gave back by donating school supplies, backpacks and cash to the “I Have a Dream” Foundation which provides academic, social and cultural enrichment services to under-served youth and their families.

 

The day-long event, which included a delicious lunch spread created by Gonpachi executive chef Yasu Kusano, was co-hosted by mens footwear designer Oliver Sweeney and Vitabath and produced by Doris Bergman and Kathy Duliakas.

 

Products that were scooped up included body-hugging dresses from Single by Galina Sobolev, jewelry for him and her by Royceware, swimwear by Becca by Rebecca Virtue, The B Bag by Lisa Berck, Dulcenea lingerie,  Bootights by Leg Up,  skin care by Stemulation and Prana SpaCeuticals, make-up setter Model in a Bottle, the new Hollywood novel aptly titled “Blow Me!” by author Lennie Ross, Antonia’s Nuts, Hawaii’s Waialua Soda Works and Hawaiian Springs Water; Blue Angel Ultra Premium Vodka and Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueurs.

At thePetersonAutomotiveMuseum’s fourth-floor terrace, with sweeping city views including the historic May Co. building that’s part of LACMA, the ALIVE! Expo Green Pavilion/Mix Media Luxury Lounge, benefiting Project Green, hosted guests to  an assortment of eco-friendly products in categories from fashion to beauty, health and wellness and even luxury lounging, as in home furnishings.

Among those in attendance during the two-day suite: Penny Marshall, Beverly Mitchell (7th Heaven), Emmy winner Maurice LaMarsh (Futurama), Drew Powell (Straw Dogs), Jason Davis, Efferon Ramirez, James Black (The Starter Wife series, All of Us, Necessary Roughness), Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga), Zee James (Everybody Loves Chris), Stephen Bishop (Money Ball), Scott Krinsky (NBC’s Chuck), Ryan Cleary (Entourage) and Grant Bowler from True Blood, pictured.

Kari Feinstein took over a couple of floors at the Mondrian for her two-day Emmy Style Lounge where guests included Evan Handler, Alan Cumming, Camille Grammer, Eric Stonestreet, Cat Deeley, Melissa Rycroft, Carson Kressley and Shar Jackson.

Participating vendors included Cycle House, Daru Boutique, Gigaset phones, Jayone Foods, Joie Studio, Keratin Complex, Lovelyskin.com, Melt LA,  Nail Garden, NuWorld Bontanicals, Omega Water, Pampered Chef, Popcorn, Indiana, Sauza Tequila, Silpada jewelry, Wonka candy and Zone Perfect bars.

At the Chateau Marmont, Essie nail polish took over one of the roomy back bungalows–with its own private patio, back yard and valet parking00 for a champagne-soaked beauty lounge that tended to some ofHollywood’s most well-groomed hands and feet, making them even prettier for the awards weekend.

 

On display, the company’s red carpet, fall and winter color collections, with something to match every gown—or tuxedo—for the big night.
