Golden Globe Awards Suites London HotelThe fun and festivities for the Golden Globes as always, started days before the trophies being awarded.  First out of the gate, the Roger Neal Style Hollywood Ultimate Beauty Suite at L’Ermitage. Neal and his wife Lynn, veteran organizers of luxury awards events for 15 years, including the vaunted Stuart Weitzman shoe dinners for the Oscars, produced another winning suite that focused on beauty and pampering– along with an open bar and great catering befitting the location.

This was spa central if you wanted a massage, a facial and a manicure in short order from top practitioners in their respective fields. G.M. Collins skincare was showcased by company aestheticians, who worked their magic to regenerate, hydrate exfoliate and brighten complexions of guests who were lucky to get in for a treatment.

And if you’ve ever wanted your tea leaves read, this was the place.  A 1,000-year old Chinese tea recipe was served in the ancient, classical manner on elegant china by Lady Snow, a Chinese-born tea master. Adding another kick to the event: Wardell’s gourmet barbecue sauce, made from a family recipe handed down for three generations.

OneMama, a charitable organization assisting women in Africa to receive proper medical care while they’re pregnant and to deliver their babies safely, received a donation of $15,000 from the Neals. The organization was founded by Shaboom Cosmetics creator Siobhan Neilland, whose goal is to reach women in 250 locations around the globe in the near future.

Celebrity guests, including Robin Antin, Shanna Moakler, Kelly Monaco, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Leeza Gibbons, Cheryl Hines, Billy Bush, Connie Stevens, Brooke Mueller and Paula Abdul received gift bags with Edelweiss chocolates, Kate Mesta jewelry and an all-expense paid trip to Baja.

At the London hotel, the Give Back Hollywood Foundation, in association with Fashion Forms set up shop on the tented rooftop, making for a festive atmosphere that felt like the best of summer– with everything under the sun from the new Saturday Night Live board games, Ambe skincare products, Charlie Lapson designer handbags, watches and jewelry, Deos earphone covers, Youngblood mineral cosmetics and clothing from Hedo Brooklyn, Heaven Simone, Show Me Your Mumu and Britboy Fashions. Stylists from B2V salon were on hand to perk up hairstyles wilting from the heat—a nice problem to have in the middle of January.

The organization also sponsored an evening bash benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

Elsewhere at the London, GBK’s Golden Globes Gifting Lounge set up shop in more than a dozen rooms and attracted guests including George Lopez, Adrien Brody, Dennis Quaid, Melissa Joan Hart, Martin Short, Diane Warren, Katey Sagal, AnnaLynne McCord  and Alan Thicke.

They were treated to goods and services including gift certificates to exotic travel destinations and luxury goods and products from 3LAB skincare,  celebrity-favorite RevitaLash, Jane Cosmetics, manicures and products from Jessica Nail Clinic, The Shave of Beverly Hills, Vanity Girl Hollywood, Zamani Retreat Kempinski, Exclusive Sedan Service, Menbur special occasion evening bags, Essence bracelets, 2EROS men’s swimwear and underwear, shapewear from TC Fine Intimates, haircare and skincare from Peter Lamas, bamjamz women’s bamboo lounge and sleepwear, Kaldi’s Coffee Roasting Co, Kingfish Spirits, an alcohol-infused whipped cream (great on fruit), Svedka vodka and delicious cupcakes from Sugar Babies Cupcakery. Sweet!

This year’s beneficiaries included St. Bernard Project, an organization that rebuilds the Katrina-ravished homes and lives of New Orleans residents and the Lopez Foundation, whose mission is to create permanent change for underprivileged children and adults confronting challenges in education and health, and increasing awareness about kidney disease and organ donation.

At the SLS Hotel, Number 4 High Performance Hair Care took center stage at the Secret Room Awards Style Lounge.  Guests experienced the products through styling and consultations with top hair stylists and received a personalized gift of Number 4 products to suit their individual hair needs.  We know from experience that these are some of the best products on the market.  The line of 17 products for cleansing, styling hydrating, conditioning and volumizing is available at select salons and retailers.
